Nursery Ministry
At Zionsville Fellowship, families enjoy worship time together. Age appropriate nurseries are available for infants and toddlers during worship and teaching. Check-in / check-out safety procedures are in place and parents benefit from our emergency pager system.
The nursery ministry is not just to the children, but also to their parents. It is here that child rearing principles and experiences can be shared among the parent and caregivers. The nursery also provides a setting for getting to know others in our church family as members volunteer to care for our little ones. New friendships are made and old ones are nurtured.
Nursery coordinators work around the volunteer's schedule, and appreciate volunteers who work one Sunday a month or one Sunday a quarter. Volunteers include men, women, middle school, and high school students. To sign up, drop by the nursery and talk to a coordinator.
Sunday School
Sunday School classes are provided during teaching time for preschool (beginning at age two) and elementary-aged children. There are three distinct theme periods which take place throughout the year. During class time, young people enjoy drama, music, snacks, and projects.
All JrHighers (grades 6-8) and SrHighers (9-12) are invited each Sunday morning for Sunday school, from 10:15-11:00 am. Students meet for a discussion of the Bible, church life, and issues of faith. Adults are invited and encouraged to participate in these, often times lively, conversations.
Vacation Bible School
Each June, students in Grades K-5 are invited for a week long Vacation Bible School experience where they learn about God's Word in fun and relevant ways. Many adult and student volunteers are needed to teach, provide snacks, paint backdrops, provide music, etc.
Tape Ministry
Each Sunday the teaching hour is recorded and then re-produced for those who sign up for a copy at the Tape Ministry desk.
Music Ministry
Zionsville Fellowship enjoys a wide variety of music during worship. Opportunities to participate in the music ministry offered at ZF include special music for Communion, or in the Easter and Christmas choirs.0
Neighborhood Fellowship Church
Neighborhood Fellowship Church is an Indianapolis inner-city sister church to Zionsville Fellowship. Jim and Debbie Streitelmeier and their children minister at Neighborhood Fellowship. They are ministering to physical, social, educational, and emotional as well as the spiritual needs of people there. They have lived and worked among the poor, undereducated, unemployed, and needy people of Indianapolis for 8 years.
Each Sunday afternoon, Neighborhood Fellowship serves a meal to their congregation. Volunteers from ZF travel downtown to help prepare and serve the meal each week. In addition, Neighborhood Fellowship has a school, Neighborhood Academy. Opportunities are available to also tutor in the school.
