This month we will meet at Neighborhood Fellowship (a sister church to Zionsville Fellowship in the inner city of Indianapolis). Javier is a member at Zionsville Fellowship, and the Director of the Indiana University Student Outreach Clinic operating at Neighborhood Fellowship.
Meet in the ZF parking lot at 7:45 am for car pooling. Parking is available at the IPS 54 parking lot immediately east of the NF church building.
Learn to do good; seek justic, correct oppression; bring justic to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause. Isaiah 1:17
Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. James 1:27
Humility serves. Humility gets down low and lifts others up. Humility looks to the needs of others and gives time and effort to help with those needs. Jesus took the form of a servant and humbled himself, even to the point of death. “The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). Humility measures everything it does by whether it serves the good of other people. Am I feeding my ego or am I feeding the faith of others? (Piper)
