Shawn and Liz Keith serve with Athletes in Action, the sports ministry of Cru. They are in their 12th year on staff, and 8th serving with AIA Global Media. Shawn is the Global Media Production Manager, and their goal is to create evangelistic sports films and additional internet based sports media that resource the body of Christ worldwide. Sport is a universal language, and these tools help nationals around the world extend their ministry reach as they seeks to minister to people and cultures who are enamoured with sport.

Shawn was the Executive Producer of the Reversing the Curse: Stories of Faith from the 2004 season DVD featuring the Boston Red Sox after winning their first World Series title in 86 years. The film debuted on Patriots Day in 2005 with 25,000 copies being distributed outside of Fenway Park. Translated into four languages, a total of 270,000 copies have been distributed worldwide and is still very popular to this day.

Since then, Shawn has been involved with the production of twelve films including several with the NFL and NBA, as well as two with a mix of various Women’s sports, two World Cup Soccer films (2006-2010), US National/International/Olympic Wrestling, and the Summer Olympics (2008-2012). The Prize: Chasing the Dream was created for the world largest sporting event; the 2010 Soccer World Cup in South Africa. This film, currently in 46 languages, has global distribution, broadcast, and internet streaming rights which gives it the potential to be viewed by hundreds of millions of people around the globe. Leveraging the testimonies of elite level soccer players, this film has distribution in roughly 185 countries through a partnership with the International Sports Coalition (ISC) and their The Ultimate Goal (TUG) strategy. Most recently Struggle and Triumph, AIA’s Olympic film, was used extensively around the London Olympics, including 8500 copies being distributed to the Olympians throughout the Olympic village. This film was also supplied and used extensively by multiple partnering agencies, denominations, churches, and individuals for ministry around the beyond the games. It is also the “official” Olympic film for the ISC’s More than Gold Strategy (MTG) surrounding the Summer Games. Available in 36 languages on a single DVD, it is also available for viewing online for free in 34 languages. Production of the next soccer film for the 2014 Soccer World Cup in Brazil, The Prize “3” (unnamed subtitle) is underway and will have a release date of November, 2013.
