Women's Summer Bible Studies - 2021

Women's Summer Bible Study Opportunities - June and July, 2021

Why join one of these studies? If you have yet to get to know other women from ZF, Bible study is the perfect way to do this! It's in the context of smaller study groups that we are known, encouraged and form long term relationships.

As we meet weekly, we can be vulnerable about our lives and learn from each other. We will pray for each other and work together through scriptures that will deepen and forward our faith.

The Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is a beautiful, epic, and cohesive story. It is the story of how our eternal God is on a grand mission to redeem and restore his rebellious and wayward children. But it is not a story meant to merely inform us. The story itself is meant to transform us and invite us to participate in this glorious redemption of all things!

From Garden to Glory is a ten-week study, written by Courtney Doctor, that will take you through this amazing story. You will marvel at the steadfast love of our God who longs to dwell with his children again as he did in the Garden—and who will stop at nothing until he does.

The story of Jesus in the Gospels includes all kinds of interesting people―some who claimed to be saints but proved to be scoundrels, as well as scoundrels who were transformed into saints. In this ten-week study, Nancy Guthrie provides a fresh look into what shaped and motivated people such as John the Baptist, Peter, the Pharisees, Zacchaeus, Judas, Caiaphas, Barabbas, Stephen, and Paul. Join us as Nancy reintroduces us to these biblical characters, helping us to see more clearly the ways in which they reveal the generous grace of Jesus toward sinners.

The Wisdom of God: Seeing Jesus in the Psalms and Wisdom Books

Thursday Evenings, 7:00-8:30 PM
Led by Diana Wilding and meeting at ZF

This study of Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Solomon mines the Wisdom Literature not only for wise principles for living, but also for the wise person these books point to through their drama, poetry, proverb, and song―Jesus.

Bible teacher Nancy Guthrie provides clear commentary and contemporary application of biblical truths found in the Wisdom Books regarding how God guides us, how we can make sense of our suffering and our dissatisfaction in life, and how to deal with our uneven emotions, our need for security, and our longing to be loved.
