Discovery Group I
Join us for the next Discovery Group I which will be held for six consecutive
Sundays, beginning February 14. The purpose of this program is to bring a
deeper understanding to the people in our body about the beliefs and
practices of ZF. Through our time together, you will meet the pastoral staff,
many of the elders and ministry leaders along with other people new to
Zionsville Fellowship.
• We will be learning about the distinctives of ZF and hear about the
history of the body.
• We will discuss one of ZF’s more unique distinctives: worship.
• The focus will primarily be on Biblical doctrine with an emphasis on
baptism, communion and spiritual gifts.
• We will discuss the importance of community, small groups and
membership.
• The emphasis for this session will be on ZF’s missionary outreach and
stewardship.
• The final night of Discovery Group will focus on governance and give
an introduction to many of the ministries of ZF.
Join us from 6:00-7:30 pm each Sunday evening. Sign up at the Welcome
Center; childcare will be available.
Help Needed in the Nursery for Sunday of Women’s Retreat
The Nursery needs extra volunteers for February 28. Due to the number of
women attending the Women’s Retreat, the Nursery will be short-handed.
Just stop by today if you can help on that Sunday.
A Pre-Sunday School class teacher and someone to do musical activities
with the Toddlers during teaching time are still needed in the Nursery.
Contact Linda Kennerk at 873-3322 for more information.
Love In the Name of Christ
Love INC is a service organization that was founded in 1977 as a way to encourage churches to become more engaged with the poor and to inspire a greater number of Christians to put their faith in action. There are 140 affiliates in 30 states with 8 of those affiliates in Indiana. The Boone County affiliate in Lebanon serves as a clearing house to Boone County residents matching their needs with available resources offered by churches, local agencies, and volunteers. Love INC does not directly distribute money, food, or clothing but rather serves to direct people to appropriate local agencies, churches, or volunteers that will help meet their immediate needs for food, clothing, rent assistance, etc. Volunteers are needed for things such as tutoring, financial budgeting and moving assistance. For more information, please log onto the Boone County chapter website or the national website.
