A Welcome/Goodbye Overnight Tradition celebrating our incoming 6th graders and a farewell and Prayer Partner Reveal for our outgoing 8th graders.

One of the long-standing Middle School traditions at ZF is the annual Overnight Camping & Pancake Breakfast. This event is held to honor the graduating 8th graders, hand over the leadership mantle to the incoming 8th graders, and to welcome the new 6th graders. Late afternoon Saturday is spent checking in and setting up tents. Dinner is served on-site and the evening is full of fun games, a giant water slide and fireside chats. On Sunday morning, students have a time of worship and then start setting up for the delicious pancake breakfast. Families of middle school students, adult prayer partners and their families are invited to stay after the Sunday service to eat with the students. After breakfast, we will have the Prayer Partner reveal and then we say goodbye to our graduates and send them off with a charge from the middle school leaders.
